My name is Rebecca Particka, but I usually just go by Becky. I graduated from  Central Michigan University with a degree in photojournalism and minors in information technology, multimedia design, and visual merchandising.

Storytelling is my passion. My camera helps me connect with others and share their stories.

The professional experiences I've had helped me develop my skills as a journalist and as a photographer. I was a photography intern for Interlochen Center for the Arts during the 2022 camp season. During the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Michigan News Group Internship program. I developed content for both WCMU News and the Traverse City Record-Eagle. I transitioned to a student reporter position for WCMU during the Fall 2023 semester. I recently completed a photo internship with MLive /The Grand Rapids Press. I'm currently interning for The Blade in Toledo, Ohio.

The extracurriculars that I participated in also provided me with valuable experiences. I was the editor-in-chief of Grand Central Magazine and a photographer for Central Michigan Life. I also served as the art director for Moore Media Records for two years and as a member of the Honors Platform editorial staff for one year.
